We are seeking a highly technical Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automation systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring automation professional eager to launch a career in industrial automation under the mentorship of seasoned practitioners.

Key responsibilities


  • Assist in developing automation architectures under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Write and test foundational PLC/DCS logic and controller configurations with oversight from technical leads.
  • Develop and modify HMI/SCADA graphics and user interfaces under the direction of senior engineers.
  • Support the integration of third-party vendor skids and equipment into central control systems utilizing OPC and basic virtualization.
  • Assist in monitoring existing processes and troubleshoot routine control issues to improve system reliability.
  • Maintain and update critical engineering documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and network topology drawings.
  • Draft and execute validation documents using established templates and guidance.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) alongside senior team members
  • Compile technical data and research to support proposal generation.
  • Actively learn from team members and participate in technical training.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field of study.
  • Demonstrate high aptitude and a strong foundational understanding of control theory, with an eagerness to learn core platforms and virtualization concepts.
  • Candidates must demonstrate willigness to learn one or more of the following platforms: DeltaV, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Ignition, PI, OPC Standards

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience building custom desktop or web applications.
  • Knowledge of traditional programming languages such as C#, .NET, and the like.
  • Technical knowledge of AI, including practical experience integrating AI solutions into industrial products or engineering workflows.
  • Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology sector, including familiarity with continuous manufacturing GMP environments, GAMP 5 guidelines, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
  • Candidates with deep mastery of PI (or other historians), and MES (Syncade, AspenTech, etc.) who want to expand into full control system execution are highly encouraged to apply.
